Solarim Trading is a supplier of construction related steel products. We can broker supply of structural steel products, principally reinforcing bars or rebars, without which no modern construction is possible. BS 4449 and ASTM A615 are the two most common standards for the Gulf nations and general Middle East.
Though our extensive connections (based on credits from natural gas petroleum derived products such as sulphur and organic fertilizer), we can also arrange to supply other steel products from the same manufacturers that product reinforcing bars, namely wire rod that is extensively used in construction as well as hot rolled coil (HRC) and cold rolled coil.
When it comes to rebars the following international standards are most common (though unless there a special contractual arrangement is made, our supply options are limited to BS, ASTM, EN and GOST grades):

ISO — Structural steels, ISO 630
ISO 630 is particularly important for structural steel. It covers hot-rolled plates, sections, wide flats and bars used in structural applications.
ISO/TC 17/SC 3 — Steels for structural purposes
This ISO technical committee deals specifically with steels for structural purposes, including plates, bars and sections, their qualities, dimensions and tolerances.
ISO/TC 167 — Steel and aluminium structures
Very useful for structural engineering. Its scope includes design, fabrication and erection of steel structures, as well as materials, components and connections.
2. AISC — American Institute of Steel Construction
AISC — Current Structural Steel Standards
One of the most important sources for structural steel internationally, particularly for the American system.
ANSI/AISC 360 — Specification for Structural Steel Buildings
This is the principal AISC specification for the design and construction of structural steel buildings and other structures, incorporating both LRFD and ASD approaches.
AISC 303 — Code of Standard Practice for Steel Buildings and Bridges
Useful for understanding contracting, fabrication, erection and industry practice for structural steel.
AISC Certification
Useful if you are interested in qualified/certified structural-steel fabricators and erectors, including international participants.
3. ASTM International
ASTM International — Structural Steel Standards
ASTM is particularly important for steel grades, chemical/mechanical requirements, testing and product specifications. For example, ASTM specifications cover structural plates, bars, sections and high-strength low-alloy structural steels.
AISC’s structural-steel specifications also make extensive use of ASTM material standards.
4. World Steel Association
World Steel Association (worldsteel)
This is probably the most useful global industry organization for the steel market. It represents steel producers and national/regional steel associations.
